Newbury Methodist Church has undergone extensive refurbishment in the last few years, whilst still conforming to its Grade II* listing as a preserved building. Apart from addressing some structural issues with the church building the refurbishment of the church enabled most of the pews to be removed and replaced with new comfortable chairs.
In addition to the removal of the pews a new glass wall was built between the vestibule and the church, along with a new central glass entrance at the front of the church. This has converted our church space to a brighter, more open space enabling it to be used in a variety of ways.
Our photo pages show a variety of ways we have already used the open space of the church.
